How BOTOX works

Botox Cosmetic®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Jeuveaux® are an FDA approved highly purified protein that is produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. By blocking nerve impulses to the tiny muscles that cause facial expression lines and wrinkles, this protein prevents their contraction and relaxes them.

The treatment can reverse dynamic wrinkles, such as crow's feet, frown lines, worry lines, laugh lines, and neck bands, reversing visible signs of aging. Depending on the individual, the results can be visualized within 5-10 days after treatment. It peaks in 2-4 weeks and will last for 3-6 months.
